Amaris “Amy” Olivencia Warren is a writer, speaker, and teacher who helps Christians think carefully about what they believe and how those beliefs shape everyday life.

Amy holds a B.A. in Christian Ministry and an M.A. in Theology and Apologetics from Southern Evangelical Seminary, where she received the Frank Turek Academic Scholarship. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry in Faith and Culture at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, researching the image of God, parenting, and child discipleship. She is a commissioned Colson Fellow, a graduate of Frank Turek’s CrossExamined Instructor Academy, and serves in apologetics and worldview ministry through the Colson Fellows Church Affiliate program and Ratio Christi College Prep.

Her work centers on theology, apologetics, and discipleship, particularly what it means to be made in the image of God. She is especially passionate about helping Christians recover a biblical understanding of identity, purpose, family, and the formation of the next generation.

Amy grew up in North Philadelphia in a Puerto Rican family and remains deeply grateful for the family, hospitality, and sense of community that marked her upbringing. Those roots are an important part of her story, even as her deepest convictions about identity, truth, and the purpose of human life are grounded in her Christian faith.

For many years, Amy homeschooled her two daughters with a strong emphasis on Christian worldview and thoughtful education. Watching them grow into adulthood, one now a graduate student at Columbia International University and the other married to a pastor, has deepened her conviction that the ideas children are given and the questions they are taught to ask matter. Those early foundations shape how they understand their faith, their relationships, and the world around them.

Amy also teaches in the classroom, where she sees firsthand the intellectual and cultural pressures young Christians face. That experience continues to strengthen her desire to help parents, churches, and educators prepare students to think clearly and remain grounded in their faith before they ever reach the college classroom.

Amy and her husband, Mark, serve together at South Quay Baptist Church in Virginia, where Mark is the senior pastor. Their shared ministry centers on teaching, discipleship, and helping families grow in confidence in the Christian faith.
